Saxophone Teacher
The Saxophone teacher,
had a braid to his knees,
He loved Coltrane and Parker,
and played them with ease.
Wednesdays at two, he would
scat: doop dappity doo.
Then he stopped teaching,
practice, his pupil would not do.
To Parker and Coltrane,
the grown pupil now listens with joy.
Delights never had,
when a lazy little boy.
Just an hour a day, just
won't you practice please?
Used to plead the Saxophone teacher,
who had a braid to his knees.
